Robert Skip Sandberg

Raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Skip Sandberg came west to UCLA and settled in Mill Valley in 1977. Only 12 miles north of San Francisco and sitting at the base of 2600 ft. Mt. Tamalpais, Mill Valley is a year round paradise for outdoor activities. Skip enjoys trail running, hiking, mountain biking, and landscape photography.

Hawaii became part of Skip's life when he lived on the Kona Coast and Maui in 1971. The Sandberg family returns annually to their home away from home at Kameole Beach on Maui.

He began black and white photography as a hobby in 1975 after classes and darkroom work at St. Bartholomews in New York City. Later, professional photographers Geoff Fricker and Robert Holmes encouraged his improvement in traditional darkroom printing techniques.

His wife Ann, and children, Robby and Lynn, also enjoy art and photography.
