Our premier bear-viewing lodge is located in the heart of Katmai National Park & Preserve on 160 acres of private land on the wild and scenic Alagnak River. Accommodations and guiding are first rate with clients staying in private cabins, eating magnificent cuisine, and guided bear viewing going out daily on our jet boats. Viewing decks from the main lodge provides comfortable viewing of the river and surrounding Katmai wilderness. During the peak of the salmon runs you have the opportunity to see bears from right from your own private riverfront cabin.

Bears During Peak Season
The Bears, like every generation before them, follow the fish upriver and right past our bear viewing camp. During the peak season in July and August tours have seen as many as 50 bears on our scenic jet boat tours up the Alagnak River. Guests experience world class fishing between the world class wildlife photography. Watch bears chase salmon up gravel bars, dive into the river from the banks and walk up the well worn trails on the banks with their cubs. Our veteran guides will take you into the heart of Katmai National Park every day via jet boat. Away from the tour groups, large camera crews, and park rangers directing traffic, you will see first hand these bears in their natural surrounds.
