The Alaska Department of Fish and Game includes the Office of the Commissioner, the Boards Support Section, and five divisions; Wildlife Conservation, Sport Fish, Commercial Fisheries, Subsistence, and Administrative Services.

Office of The Commissioner Commissioner Denby Lloyd was officially appointed by Governor Sarah Palin on February 3, 2007. The Commissioner is ADF&G's principal executive officer responsible for the protection, management, conservation, and restoration of Alaska's fish and game resources. Boards Support Section Contact Information (907) 465-4110 The Boards Support Section ensures that the public process for the state's fish and wildlife regulatory system operates efficiently and effectively by providing assistance to the Board of Fisheries and the Board of Game. This includes stock assessment, management, hatchery production, access development and maintenance, habitat assessment and permitting, information and education, enforcement and planning and survey activities. Commercial Fisheries Contact Information (907) 465-4210 The Division of Commercial Fisheries is responsible for management of the state's commercial, subsistence, and personal use fisheries. The mission of the division is to manage, protect, rehabilitate, enhance, and develop fisheries and aquatic plant resources in the interest of the economy and general well-being of the state, consistent with the sustained yield principle and subject to allocations established through public regulatory processes. The division facilitates the regulation process and provides research, management, information, and education to enhance and conserve wildlife populations and provide a wide range of public uses and benefits.
