Lodging Located on the Monument

The Oregon Caves Chateau is one of the National Park's Great Lodges and a National Historic Landmark.  It is a six-story hotel located on the Monument, and has 23 rooms.  The large lobby on the fourth floor of the building contains a huge double fireplace of marble construction.

The lodge is scheduled to be open late April through late October. These dates are subject to change.

The Oregon Caves lodge is managed by a local nonprofit organization who uses revenues from this operation to write grants and assist with programs that benefit the local low income community.

For more information or reservations please call 541 592-3400 or visit Illinois Valley Community Development Organization.

This snail was named after an employee of Oregon Cave, not because he was slow but because he wrote the technical description of the snail.

Did You Know?
There is a snail that lives on the marble rock outcrops of Oregon Caves that has adapted to use the calcium from the rock to make its shell.
