NACTA's Mission Statement
The
National Association of Commissioned Travel Agent's mission is to create
recognition for, and offer support to professional independent travel agents.
This will be obtained by effective representation within the travel industry
through education, training and increased exposure of this growing segment of
travel professionals within the travel industry at large.
About NACTA
The
National Association of Commissioned Travel Agents, is the travel industry's
leading national trade association representing independent contractors, outside
sales agents, cruise and tour oriented agents, group oriented travel
professionals and traditional ARC appointed travel agencies that provide
services and support to such professionals.
NACTA has increased representation with the new Allied Supplier Category, thus
allowing providers of travel product and sellers of travel product access to one
another.
NACTA
was established in 1986 as the original association with a mission to represent
the
interests of independent travel entrepreneurs. NACTA continues that objective
and
works
to promote professionalism and recognition for the professional independent
agent.
NACTA is a forum for open communication amongst its members.
As a member
driven
association, NACTA surveys its membership to develop a consensus on issues
of
concern to the independent travel agent community. When consensus is reached,
NACTA acts out its member’s will to impose positive change within the travel
industry.

a member driven association, The National Association of Commissioned Travel
Agents, as a group, will lead the way to increased exposure and respect within
the travel industry for independent travel professionals.
NACTA's President, Joanie Ogg CTC, MCC is widely recognized as the
foremost authority on issues regarding independent travel professionals.
Joanie's presence in the trade publications, at trade shows and
conventions, and as a speaker for independents at virtually every travel
industry function serves NACTA member's interests and further the mission of
NACTA.

NACTA
& ASTA - "The Alliance"
NACTA,
Inc. has formed an alliance with ASTA, The American Society of Travel Agents and
is now a wholly owned subsidiary of ASTA. ASTA recognizes the growth and need
for increased representation of the professional independent travel agents in
today's travel marketplace. With
this alliance NACTA and ASTA, hand in hand work to promote professionalism and
recognition of NACTA membership to the industry at large.
As a benefit of this alliance, NACTA members now have access to a
multitude of ASTA educational opportunities at preferred NACTA member rates.
NACTA and ASTA membership are both separate membership categories. We encourage
suppliers and vendors to become members of both associations in order to reach
the full range of selling travel professionals.

Supplier Information and complete that form in full upon your membership
request. With this information we are better able to complete the
application process and get your NACTA benefits in place in a timely fashion.
