The Medical Transcription Program provides you with the training to become an effective medical transcriptionist. It provides you with relevant, hands-on instruction in two phases.

  • The first phase: You learn medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and pharmacology. You get the skills to comprehend the terms you will encounter everyday on the job as a medical trancriptionist. It provides you with a solid background!
  • The second phase: You learn how to accurately transcribe the dictated words of physicians. This includes recognizing a wide range of tones and accents for a variety of medical specialties. The textbook and accompanying CD-ROM feature sample reports, case scenarios, transcription tips, and more! To practice controlling the pace of dictation, we also include a professional foot pedal. Learn to keep your fingers on the keyboard at all times!
