Cortijo Aragon Orgiva

Cortijo Aragon is a beautifully reconditioned farmhouse built over a hundred years ago. It is situated in the remote and tranquil countryside between Orgiva and Lanjaron surrounded by organic farmland. The views from the house are breathtaking, encompassing the green and fruitful valley of Orgiva as well as the Sierra Nevadas, Europe's second highest mountain range with snow-covered peaks reaching up to 3500 meters.

In front of the entrance to the house there is a covered terrace leading on to an enormous swimming pool (14 x 8 meters), perfect for cooling down on hot summer days. It also has a bamboo fence surrounding it with access through a small gate. The owners of the property live below and occasionally use the pool in July and August. The remainder of the time the pool is strictly for the disposal of the guests.

The house itself is detached and built in typically traditional style with wooden beamed ceilings and wide stone walls which insulate well against both the heat and the cold. It is comfortably furnished and has a welcoming feel. There are 3 bedrooms, a large kitchen and comfortable lounge with direct access to the terrace which is shaded and has wooden garden furniture making it the perfect place to eat al fresco or simply relax out of the sun.
The lounge is equipped with satellite TV with international programs and has a cosy seating area with a glass fronted fireplace. There are also covered parking spaces right by the house. The approach road is a 2km track leading from the main road.

Holiday guests can purchase organic vegetables nearly all year round from the neighbouring farmer Alberto at very favourable prices. The nearby town of Orgiva, 10 minutes drive away, is useful for all shopping, banks, bars and restaurants and has a lively market every Thursday. A trip to the coast or the beautiful city of Granada takes approximately 45 minutes.

WINTER SEASON 400,- EUR / GBP 280 per week
(16.10. - Easter)

Swimming pool from Easter - 15.10., private from Easter to 30.06. and 01.09. - 15.10.; in summer the pool will be used by the owners occasionally.
Firewood is provided for the first day and subsequently charged at 9 EUR a barrow
