Kingfish

These Kingfish photos were taken here in South Florida.

I usually find the Kingfish about 2 miles offshore. There are plenty of Kingfish to be caught all along the coast of Florida.

They have the potential of 75 pounds to about 100 pounds. They are a strong fish and fight hard however big they are. You may think you have got a Wahoo on the line since they fight so hard.

Kingfish have a very long body and are mostly silver and shiney.

Most people don't like to eat Kingfish because it has such a strong distinct taste. Actually Kingfish Dip is very good or Baked Kingfish.

Learn how to fillet Kingfish step by step.

Chris and Joe along with their wifes came to Islamorada in the Florida Keys
to fish with WildBill. Chris caught the Spanish Mackerel and Joe caught a Barracuda.
Of course the wifes didn't go fishing they went shopping!
