Day 2 of the White Marlin Open and the Offshore weather couldn’t be better. Capt. Mark Sampson on the “Fish Finder” released 15 Spinner Sharks, 1 Sandbar Shark, 1 Hammerhead Shark and 3 Atlantic Sharpnose Sharks. Capt. Ron Callis on the “Playtime” came in with 1 Wahoo. Capt. Mark Radcliffe of the “Fish Bonz” released 1 White Marlin and came in with 1 Yellowfin Tuna. Capt. Jeff Powell aboard the “Mugger” brought to the dock 2 nice Bluefin (the largest weighed in at 125lb) and 1 Yellowfin. Capt. Steve Wheeler of the “Ranger” caught 3 Yellowfin, 2 Bluefin and 1 Dolphin. Capt. Ken Antkowiak on the “Hot Spot” weighed a White Marlin at the tournament scales but it didn’t place. They also came home with 1 Yellowfin. Capt. John Oughton on the “Pretty Work” released a White Marlin and boated 2 Longfin Tuna. Capt. Dave Fortner on the “Justified” released 1 White Marlin. Capt. DJ Churchill on the “That’s Right” came in with 1 Bluefin and 2 Yellowfin tuna. Capt. Dan Cook on the “Fortune Cookie” released a Sailfish. Capt. Butch Brooks on the “Jade II” came in with 1 Yellowfin and released 1 Blue Marlin. Capt. Luke Blume aboard the “Press Time” released 3 White Marlin and came in with 1 Dolphin. Capt. Joe O’Boyle of the “Mojo” released a White Marlin and a Blue Marlin. Capt. JW Hocker on the “Miss Caroline” brought in a HUGE 200 pound Bluefin tuna and a very nice 66 pound Wahoo. Capt. Rob Skillman of the “Endeavor” also came in with a fat 189 pound Bluefin Tuna and a nice Wahoo. Can’t wait to see what Day 3 may bring!!
