Not worth the price
I would definitely not recommend Petplan. Although the customer service people are very nice, my premiums have been increasing steadily over the past few years and my deductibles have gone up to $500 a year now that my dog is older and I'm finally making use of the insurance. I haven't even made a claim yet because it's not worth the $500 deductible for a $150 ear infection! There are better pet insurance companies without deductibles. Although I believe in Pet Insurance, do your research please and compare with other companies. |

It has very well for us.
PetPlan is what they describe. They tell you everything about the services up front and you choose what package to go with. They tell you about deductibles and that premiums could change. PetPlan has worked wonderfully for us and our young dog. I would definitely recommend PetPlan. As with anything, the purchaser should read the material before buying but they are not hiding anything, it's all in black and white. Thanks PetPlan. |

Total rip off
I was completley ripped off, signed up with our Vet for the 6 week trial period, had an accident within the 6 week period. Called to get info on how to claim the allowed $$, was told if I sign up over the phone for the "Standard plan" I could claim the full amount, no waiting period and they would pay the 80% - so I did...great I thought!! Later received a call saying it's a no go a waiting period would be in effect and then was told it was a once in a lifetime trial voucher. When we purchased our dog 2 years prior we received a voucher for a month of free insurance. So as it stands now the voucher is no good and I cancelled my insurance with them. I have asked them to provide proof in the policy where it states " 1 voucher per pet in a lifetime" Stay clear and beware |

Rip off. Read the fine print before you enroll!
Petplan is definitely not worth your money. They are constantly increasing my premiums and their annual deductibles increased to $500 as my dog got older! I'm totally unhappy with the product. Do your research before you enroll because there are better pet insurance products out there. |

Deductibles increase
Not a bad company but I just realised that for a ten year old dog their deductible increases to between $250-$600 |
