Best Baits for catching Fish

Live or dead this is filet mignon to the fish. Most angler's purchase their bait either fresh or frozen. They can be caught with a sabiki rig or by cast netting.

The first bait is a pilchard and used to catch everything from tuna off shore to snook inshore.

The second bait is a cigar minnow. This is a very hearty bait and not always available to catch, but it is extremely effective for offshore species. This can be used live or dead.

The third bait is a sardine. This is a very fragile bait because they die quickly even in a live well. They are quickly consumed either live or dead by all fish. This is the candy of the sea.
