Stanley Park is a thousand acre public park situated between downtown Vancouver and the Lions Gate Bridge.  Seen here from a distance, Stanley park is located on a peninsula that jets out into the ocean and is covered by lush west coast vegetation.  Portions of Stanley Park have been developed into a rose garden, an outdoor theatre, a totem pole park and an Aquarium.

The Stanley Park seawall which circles the park and is a popular route for walkers, cyclists and roller bladers. In July and August, the Malkin Bowl Theatre offers the best of musical theatre under the stars.

In the winter time, a small Christmas train takes children through the forest to view Christmas scenes decorated with Christmas lights.  While waiting for the train, one can enjoy roasted chestnuts or take a horse and buggy ride through the forest.
