Big Island Honeymoon Packages

The Big Island Honeymoon Packages

Thank you for your interest in Preview Hawaii to plan your Big Island Honeymoon. The Big Island of Hawaii is larger than all of the remaining Hawaiian Islands combined! The Big Island is a land of stark contrasts, from the active volcano at Mauna Loa, the Mauna Kea observatory, the bustling nightlife and shops of Kona, the sleepy village of Kona and the world class resort properties on the Kohala Coast. Please review our Big Island information here: Big Island Travel Information

The island of Hawaii, or the "Big Island" as it is known, is a study in contrasts. While the active Mauna Loa volcano creating new land daily as its lava flows steadily into the blue Pacific, while the Kohala Coast offers stunning resorts and breath-taking golf courses. The Big Island's Kohala Coast has become a playground of the rich and famous, with more private jets landing at Kona International Airport than any other airport in the state. These well heeled travelers hide away in one of the Big Island's luxury resorts, or enjoy a luxury second home on one of the bluffs overlooking the crystal blue waters of the Pacific Ocean. Many of our travel partners on the Big Island have developed romantic getaways just for the honeymoon couple- complete with champagne in the room. The Big Island is the largest of the Hawaiian Islands and offers many unique honeymoon getaways. In addition there is a lot to explore on The Big Island, such as the beautiful beaches of the Kona Coast, The lava flows of the Volcano National Park, historic Hilo town, Kona Coffee farms and so much more.

Below are some great honeymoon packages from the best resorts and accommodations on The Big Island, starting with the unique Kona Village:

LOVE ON THE LAVA AT SHERATON KEAUHOU BAY RESORT & SPA

Black Lava Rock Cliffs and Tropical Gardens Among Romantic Location Options for Weddings

Keauhou, Hawaii's Big Island ~ Keauhou, which means "a new beginning," is the ideal place for couples to begin their lives together. Located on Hawaii's Big Island the oceanfront Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa is perfectly situated to help make dreams of a perfect wedding in Paradise come true.

Here, along the stunning coastline, a picture perfect inlet reaches out into the cobalt blue of the Pacific Ocean to form the location of the world famous Keauhou Bay. The setting provides a spectacular backdrop for the resort's Bayside Wedding Center, which includes the Bayside Chapel, an emerald velvet lawn and quaint gazebo.

For a more dramatic location, couples may opt for "love on the lava." Perched on a lava rock promontory on the very edge of the blue Pacific, the stark black rock exudes its own beauty and power and makes for stunning photography while a brilliant orange-hued sun drops below the ocean's horizon just beyond. Topped with soft white sand, the rock promontory location has quickly become a location favorite.

To ensure a stress-free destination wedding, the resort's Director of Special Occasions handles all the details from appointments for the bride at Ho'ola Spa to a tee time for the groom at nearby Kona Country Club. Our in-house florist and resort executive chef add to the list of professionals that make a wedding at Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa such a delight.

"I think brides are frankly quite surprised when they find out how easy it really is to plan a wedding when they are not actually here," remarked Natalie Cone, Director of Special Occasions. "With email being such a great communication tool, I can correspond efficiently with the couple, share pictures of the location, the flowers, the cake and really ease her potential stress. After eight years of wedding and event planning, I think I can anticipate almost anything and I can handle pretty much any 'off the wall' request - whatever it takes to make the couple's wedding perfect for them," Cone continued.

"Love on the lava?" "Amour in the Chapel?" "I do" in the gazebo? Whatever the choice, however many guests, Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa, with the Kona Coast's only wedding center, is truly the ideal location for any couple considering a destination wedding in Paradise.

The resort's Romance Package is designed for couples seeking a balance of fun and relaxation on Hawaii's largest island. In addition to accommodations, the package includes daily buffet or room service breakfast for two, 30-minute Ho'ola Spa couple's massage and 25 minute Jacuzzi, champagne and chocolate-dipped strawberries welcome amenity and daily mai tai reception at Crystal Blue. Requiring a four-night minimum stay, the package price of $345 for Deluxe Ocean Front view is per night, per room, and is based on double occupancy.

Situated on an ancient lava flow on Keauhou Bay, Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa is located on 22 lush oceanfront acres on Hawaii's Big Island. The hotel boasts 521 spacious guestrooms and suites featuring the ultra-comfortable Sheraton "Sweet Sleeper" beds, and resort-wide wireless internet access.

The resort's one-of-a-kind Manta Ray Experience adds an indelible and cherished memory to the visits of many guests who enjoy watching these mesmerizing animals. Ho'ola Spa offers indoors or ocean side patio Hawaiian-inspired treatments focusing on health and wellbeing. A convention center, daily children's program, shopping and irresistible dining options make Sheraton Keauhou Bay Resort & Spa an obvious choice for any traveler.
