Homestay Applicant Payment Information:
Due to amount of homestay applications that we receive, all homestay applicants must complete online application and pay a minimum online deposit (down payment) of CAD $180 by credit card via Paypal secure system. The deposit will be deducted from the total invoice when a suitable placement becomes available. When you completed your online deposit, your application will be given priority and credibility with VHA team. If we were unable to secure a suitable placement for the applicant after four weeks from homestay application, the deposit is refundable at 90% due to banking charges and other admin fees. Please note that 98% of our clients enjoy successful placements. We will email to you the most suitable family profile first. When you review and accept host family, you will need to pay VHA the balance of homestay, placement fee, and airport pick up and healthcare insurance costs when necessary. We will email you an invoice that will indicate a deduction of your online deposit and the balance that you will need to wire transfer through your bank to our company account. We will also email to you the bank transfer instructions to pay at your bank branch. Please note that if you stay more than three months, we require quarterly payments (every three months in advance) in order to receive continuous support regarding any homestay matters or possible disputes. You will also receive a reduce agency placement fee depending on the length of stay and homestay payment. Upon receipt of your full payment, VHA will immediately reserve and confirm homestay family and pay the host family on your behalf. Should you wish to end or change your homestay residency, you must give two to four weeks justified notice (depending on the situation) to the agency. With proper notice and justification, you should entitled to a second placement or you will receive
