About Gorton's

|
| Lisa started with us in 1984 and works in Customer Finance. She's the fourth-generation of her family to work at Gorton's. In 1892, her great-grandfather started at Gorton's driving a horse and wagon and stayed 54 years. In 1928, her grandfather joined the firm and stayed 47 years. In recent years, her dad and brother have both worked for Gorton's. A lot of companies say they're a family, but in a lot of ways ours really is. |
Gloucester is a beautiful place (check out historian Joe Garland's Gloucester Guide for pictures and descriptions). We look out on the power and beauty of the Atlantic Ocean every day. The sea - its freezing cold water stirred by the blustery wind - is both our touchstone and fiercest rival. It's rough in the winter and cool in the summer. We don't do a lot of surfing, except on the Web.
Come behind the scenes and see what we're really like. You won't see Captain Hook and no, we don't have pets named Moby. Actually, we're regular people who want to help you and your family enjoy quick, convenient, and delicious meals.
Where We Surf When Not Fishing
Some of us spend an inordinate amount of time exploring the Web. We've picked some of our favorite sites that you may like. Some are maritime, some food-related, and some are just plain fishy.

If you're driving around Gloucester and you spot this good-looking guy, it's OK to roll down your window and say "Hi, Bill! We saw you on the Web!" (But please don't bug him for an autograph).
