| Hilary Duff's Latest Role: Barbie Doll
The former Lizzie McGuire star, 19, has now gone the same route as Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce Knowles and the late, great Lucille Ball: she's become a toy doll and not just any doll, but Barbie.
The Red Carpet Glam Hilary Duff Doll, which presents the singer-actress in 12-inch form outfitted in a polka-dot dress with a red satin sash, arrives just in time for last-minute holiday shopping.
Not happy with the polka dots? Duff, who also designs, has fashioned other outfits for her little likeness, the Associated Press reports.
Jamie Wood, Mattel's vice president of Barbie marketing, said in a statement that Duff and Barbie are "great role models to girls and the perfect design duo.
"Not only are they two of the most stylish entertainers, actors and fashion designers, but they also show girls there are no limits to what they can do."
Earlier this week, Duff and former boyfriend, tattooed Good Charlotte singer Joel Madden who split last month after nearly two-and-a-half years together asked a judge to lift their request for a temporary restraining order against a celebrity photographer, after the paparazzo apologized.

Off-duty detective nabs alleged bank robber
An off-duty Chicago police detective, alerted to a bank heist that had taken place just before he entered the bank to do personal business there, left the bank and caught the suspected robber. The robbery happened about 10 a.m. Monday at the Charter One Bank branch at 1357 W. 103rd St., according to a federal criminal complaint. A woman later identified as Michelle Marie Williams, according to the complaint, walked into the bank with her hands in her coat pockets. When she took her hands out of her pockets, she allegedly had a handgun in one hand and a black plastic bag in the other.
She pointed the gun at a teller and shouted at her to put the money in the bag, the complaint alleged. The teller removed a dye pack from her drawer and put it in the bag, along with a total of $3,633, which the suspect grabbed and left the bank with.
Sheryl Crow Goes Country
Sheryl Crow is turning to her country roots to record an album detailing her personal battles over the past few years. The breast cancer survivor, who now lives close to Nashville, Tennessee - the world's country music capital - admits the traditional tunes of The Carter Family have inspired her to turn her back on rock and pop on her next album. She explains, "I'm going to produce myself again and I'm working on an old-school country record in the style of The Carter family. A lot of the stuff I've written, like 'If It Makes You Happy,' are just country songs, so I'm in that world of trying to strip it down and make something that feels honest and steeped in American influence. I had a lot of things happen to me in the last five years that I feel compelled to write about." As well as her cancer battle, Crow also romanced Tour De France cycling champion Lance Armstrong.
