OCEAN CITY FISHING - REPORT - JULY 20, 2007
Ocean City Maryland Fishing Report
All three Ocean City Charter Boats were out today, with Capt. Todd on the JUSTIFIED putting together the best catch, with about 12 bites and a nice 59 inch fish boated. All our boats worked the inshore lumps for Bluefin Tuna today. We covered Massey's, The Chickenbone and the Hambone today. All 3 boats reported a lot of good marks and a decent amount of bait on the screen, but that the fish didn't seem to want to eat all that well. Water temperatures are a bit on the warm side for these fish at this point, in the upper 70s, which surely has something to do with the slowdown in the bite. Pretty Work had 5 bites, catching 3 Bluefin Tuna, keeping two and releasing 1. PW's largest fish measured 49 inches and weighed about 60 pounds. That's Right had also had 5 bites, catching 3 Bluefin, although they were only able to keep 1 as they were all under 47 inches today. Justified was our hot boat for the day going 10 for 12 on the Bluefin. Justified kept two fish, the largest measuring 59 inches and weighing in at 118#.
