ACPO RESPONSE TO THE ACMD REPORT

In response to the ACMD report on date rape, John Yates, ACPO lead on Rape and Assistant Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police, said:

"This report confirms the findings of the recently published report contained within Operation Matisse a joint study into drug facilitated sexual assault carried out by ACPO in conjunction with the Police Standards Unit. The public is reminded about the dangers of consuming an excess of alcohol which, uncontrolled, can make them prey to this type of offence."
