Although similar to a Reseller, a Lease-Reseller will only lease licenses as opposed to purchasing
them. This is an excellent opportunity for larger hosting companies or other organizations that
already lease software and/or server space. All Lease-Resellers will lease licenses to their own
customers on a monthly basis. SmarterTools provides a discount lease rate
to all Lease-Resellers, allowing them to generate revenue. In addition, every Lease-Reseller
will be posted on our website under the Partners section. This posting allows our
customers to locate Lease-Resellers in their city, state, or country.
Lease-Resellers pay no annual fees; however, they are required to post a press release announcing
their new parternship with SmarterTools. They are also responsible for monitoring their leased
licenses and handling their respective customer support. Just like a Reseller, there will be price
caps on the minimum and maximum amounts a Lease-Reseller can charge a customer for leasing a license.
Finally, just as we post our Partners on our Web site, we require Lease-Resellers to post the
SmarterTools corporate logo and/or product
logos on their website.
