In an effort to provide greater service to our members, we have spent the last several years developing a state board compliant transcript that you can use to submit to your licensing board for re-licensure. The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) new Licensing Transcript has been approved in all states, with the exception of Maryland, Minnesota, and New York, though acceptance in Maryland and New York is pending. In Canada, 5 out of 13 provinces also accept the AGD transcript.
In order for many of the state and provincial boards to fully accept the AGD transcript as proof of attendance at courses, the AGD must maintain actual documentation of course attendance. Self-reported continuing education (CE) is not considered verified and therefore not eligible for acceptance by many licensing boards. These rules, held by many of the state boards, would prevent them from accepting online CE submissions as sufficient proof of attendance, because there is no documentation to back up the submission. Based on this information, the AGD will be discontinuing online submission of CE by members, effective Jan. 1, 2008. Find out more about this new development.
While you will not be able to add CE online, you will still be able to view or make most online corrections and edits to your transcript. You will still be able to send copies of your CE via e-mail, fax to our dedicated fax line, or mail to:

In addition, in 2005, the AGD mandated that all Program Approval for Continuing Education (PACE) providers submit CE information on behalf of members who attend one of their courses. You can help by ensuring that any courses you take with a PACE provider are submitted on your behalf. If your credits do not appear on your transcript within six weeks of taking the course, you can notify the provider directly, or contact the AGD and we will contact the provider on your behalf.
Thank you for your continued support of the AGD. If we can be of further assistance, please contact the AGD Membership Services Center at 888.243.3368, ext. 5300, membership@agd.org, or visit the Education section.
