AGD Member Letter Runs in The New York Times The Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) congratulates member Richard J. Lewenson, DDS, MAGD, for his letter to the editor that appeared in Oct. 15, 2007, issue of *The New York Times. In his response, he states, “Access to care for all is the paramount issue. But having second-or-third-tier lesser trained proxies delivering this care is not the answer—care that most of this readership would not accept for itself.”

AGD Members and Federal Action The House of Representatives failed to override the presidential veto of the State Children’s Health Insurance Program (SCHIP) and the AGD added its name to a large health care coalition to support the Labor-HHS fiscal year 2008 funding bill.
