Constituent Leader Tip: Using the Unpaid Members and Current List of Members Reports During Membership Renewal |

Now that the time for Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) membership renewal is here, be sure you are using current constituent membership lists to contact unpaid members in your constituent. Using the most up-to-date lists helps avoid confusion and ensures that members who already renewed know we appreciate their submissions. Your October 2007 monthly constituent reports will include an updated Unpaid Members Report. This report will list members with an unpaid balance on their 2008 membership dues. Since the AGD will mail dues renewal notices in November, the majority of your constituent members will be reflected as unpaid on the report. Please note members who remitted payment via the dues e-invoices mailed in mid-October will not appear on the unpaid report.
As renewals are processed and dues payments are submitted from the AGD to your constituent, the Current List of Members can help you keep track of members who have paid. The Current List of Members provides a field titled “Paid Thru.” If a member has paid his or her dues for 2008, the “paid thru” date will be Dec. 31, 2008; and if a member remains unpaid, the “paid thru” date will be Dec. 31, 2007. Using the Unpaid Members and Current List of Members reports in tandem can ensure you effectively track renewals within your constituent. To access your latest constituent reports (September 2007), visit the Constituents section of the AGD Web site. While you are there, take a look at the other reporting tools you can access to help in your recruitment and retention efforts!
