The House of Represenatives voted 361-54 to overturn a water bill vetoed by the President.  The bill includes spending for the removal of Southern California's Matilija Dam.
 

This year's Central Valley fall salmon run is worrying both fishermen and biologists, who say fewer of the prized chinook are out in the ocean or making it up the rivers to spawn.

Governor Signs Wild Trout Legislation

Governor Schwarzenegger signed SB 384 (Cogdill) on Wednesday.  The bill, supported by CalTrout, clarifies the language of the Trout and Steelhead Conservation and Management Planning Act of 1979 to ensure better protection of wild trout.
