Sacramento – The California Court of Appeal upholds a previous ruling by the state’s superior court, affirming endangered species status for the embattled California Coho salmon
 
A new report says the proposed water bottling plant is unlikely to create a significant net gain of long-term, permanent jobs for McCloud residents and that the water is priced far below market.

Governor Signs Wild Trout Legislation

Governor Schwarzenegger signed SB 384 (Cogdill) on Wednesday.  The bill, supported by CalTrout, clarifies the language of the Trout and Steelhead Conservation and Management Planning Act of 1979 to ensure better protection of wild trout.

CalTrout, Orvis and NFWF raise over $120,000 for Redband

Thanks to CalTrout members, Orvis and the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation, the beleaguered redband trout may soon be on the road to recovery.
