Auto-Graphics has provided software donations to the following educational institutions:
BIBLIOTECHNICS

The consulting firm uses Auto-Graphics' SchoolCAT Plus cataloging subscription
to educate workshop participants on downloading techniques, and
allows them to practice searching and retrieving records from a
MARC database. Its owner, Dr. Joanna Fountain, also uses SchoolCAT
in her teaching of students in the Dept. of Library Science at Sam
Houston State University, which conducts courses primarily in the
Houston and South Texas region. The SchoolCAT Plus subscription
is also used for continued improvement and maintenance of the Texas
Union database, which is used across Texas and the nation, and currently
consists of over 4 million MARC records.
Texas Education Agency
The
Texas Education Agency (state education department) uses the AGent
VERSO ILS system for building its library catalog. Records created
in AGent VERSO are also added to the SchoolCAT database for use
by all Texas librarians. The catalog is still is progress. Once
completed, the database will serve the entire agency via the Web.
University of North Texas
The
School of Library and Information Sciences uses Auto-Graphics' AGent
MARCit and SchoolCAT cataloging subscriptions to educate their library
students on how to successfully catalog a MARC record and on how
to record downloading techniques. Students also use each of these
MARC databases to practice searching and retrieving records.
