Picasso Cubiste and Homage to Guernica

The Musée national Picasso is staging an exhibition entitled « Picasso Cubiste », which brings together the work of cubist artist Pablo Picasso.
The presentation focuses on a full range of works from the most daring linking the visual arts with the elaboration of theoretical writings collected during his research at Gosol in 1906.
All the main periods are represented: African-influenced (1907-1908), the Cubists Cézannian, Byzantine (1909), Hermetic, Synthetic (1910-1912) and there different evolutions Rococo, Decorative (1914-1917), Post-cubist of the years 1921-25, to form a continuous succession, characteristic of the revolution of cubism.
At the same time, there will be an exhibition paying tribute to those who died in the bombing of the Basque city of Guernica in 1937, 60 years ago. |

A unique opportunity to discover the diversity and authenticity of agriculture in France, the International Agricultural Show looks forward to welcoming you between 23 february and 2 March, at Paris expo- Porte de Versailles./br>
Paris Expo Porte de Versailles is transformed into an enormous living farm. Bulls, cows, goats, horses, donkeys, pigs by the thousand come together for the highly-popular “Agricultural show”. This very Parisian event, unique in its genre has been a showcase for French farming in all its diversity for over 40 years.
The event will be organised as usual around three sectors : the « Animals » with the presence of numerous sheep, cattle, goats, horses etc., the “Products” with main regional specialities, and thirdly “Nature and Life” which offers a comprehensive overview of services and professions in agriculture, vegetable industries etc.
With more than 3000 animals, the SIA is the live show par excellence. It enhances the value of our rich heritage of animal genetics and plant genetics too.
Make a special note that, on Friday 29 february, all the restaurants of France and the world will welcome you until 11 p.m. for a particularly lively «Night of Agriculture». |

87th Prix d'Amérique Marionnaud
The world's finest trotting race |
The 87th Prix d'Amérique Marionnaud will be held at the famous Vincennes racecourse on Sunday 27 January 2008. The largest trotting course in the world brings together the best eighteen cracks steered by the greatest drivers fighting for the title of champion.
The Vincennes track has witnessed some spectacular races and legendary wins and made and broken reputations.
Created in 1920 to honour the U.S. involvement in World War I, this annual race gives spectators and punters an emotional rollercoaster ride with plenty of thrills and chills and reactions ranging from jubilation to disappointment.
The Prix d'Amérique Marionnaud, a true harness trotting world championship is an extraordinary event, not to be missed for any reason! |
