Virginia Sea Grant's New Headquarters
at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has designated the College of William and Mary (W&M) as the Institutional Sea Grant Program for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The program is now located at the Virginia Institute of Marine Science (VIMS). W&M President Gene Nichol commented "VIMS is uniquely positioned to push the boundries on research and coastal issues and opportunities that affect the Commonwealth and the Chesapeake Bay."
