Bass Rods: Don Iovino

Often referred to as the "Godfather" of finesse fishing, Don Iovino has a cherished history in bass fishing and is a member of the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame. In partnership with Iovino, Lamiglas has developed four new Iovino "3+" rods. The term "3+" comes from Iovino's principle that each of these rods will excel in more than 3 applications each. Fuji reel seats and Fuji Alconite Concept guides. The lighter model is the more "pure" of these finesse rods, and Iovino"s choice for Gitzit"s, drop shot, small crankbaits and topwater baits like Splash-Its. The heavier model is targeted at 1/4- to 3/8-ounce presentations including jigs, heavier drop shot rigs, small spinner baits and lightweight pitching.
