Keweenaw National Historical Park annually publishes a park newspaper to assist visitors in planning their trips to the park and our park partners, the Keweenaw Heritage Sites. You can download a copy of the newspaper here or request that a copy be mailed to you. The park newspaper is distributed to many visitor information and tourism centers throughout Michigan's Upper Peninsula.
Did You Know?
The Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan was home to one of our nation's first mineral rushes. Prospectors seeking copper travelled there in the middle 1840's, a few years before the "49'ers" sought gold out west. The story of this rush is told today at Keweenaw National Historical Park.
