The 64th Swiftsure International Yacht Race promises to be a celebration including a return of some of the classic racing yachts from the 1950s and 60s and many land-based activities for the whole family around Victoria's Inner Harbour.

The Swiftsure International Yacht Race is one of North America’s most challenging overnight offshore competitions. The Juan de Fuca Strait’s daunting combination of occasional fog, unpredictable winds, strong tides and tricky currents tests seamanship, strategy, stamina, tactics, and teamwork.

Boaters will arrive in the Inner Harbour during May 24 and 25, with pre-race festivities beginning at Ship Point pier on the afternoon of May 24.  The race will begin on May 26 and end on May 28 at 6:00am.
