Driving Directions to Gold Canyon Resort

Take US 60 East. Continue 8 miles past Mesa to Kings Ranch Road (approximately 35 minutes.) Turn left onto Kings Ranch Road. Proceed north one mile the the resort entrance (on the left). Please check in at the Preview Center next to the Gold Canyon Golf Resort entrance.

We are located approximately 1 mile from US 60 on Kings Ranch Rd. Watch for us on your left. We are located just past the entrance to the Gold Canyon Golf Resort in the Preview Center.

Gold Canyon Vacation Villas is nestled in the foothills of Dinosaur Mountain and offers an unobstructed panoramic view of the majestic Superstition Mountains. Although secluded, we are only a 30-minute drive from the culture and attractions of Scottsdale and Phoenix.

The resort also features two 18-hole championship golf courses. After a $16 million expansion and renovation, the Dinosaur Mountain Course has been rated as the #1 public course in Arizona.

In addition to great golf, the resort also offers the area's best restaurants. Greenwoods is a terrific sports bar & grill and Kokopellis offers fine dining. Both restaurants offer incredible mountain views and a relaxing southwest atmosphere.

Genuine Southwest Culture:

  • Apacheland: Authentic Old West town created as a movie set for filming Westerns. Features a Saloon, jail, gallows and a quaint little church, offset by gift shops, art galleries, and donkey rides.
  • Dolly Steamboat at Canyon Lake: Cruise the secluded inner waterways in and around the Superstition Mountains. Bring your camera and binoculars for possible sightings of bighorn sheep.
  • Tortilla Flat, population 6: Last remaining stage coach stop along the historic Apache Trail. Old West restaurant where you can literally saddle up to the bar.
  • Apache Lake Marina: Apache Lake is capped to the north by the majestic Four Peaks Mountains and the Three Bar Game Preserve, home to bighorn sheep, javelina, mountain lions and eagles.
  • Hike the Superstition Wilderness, Apache Trail Tours: Dozens of hiking trails for all abilities abound. Incredible rock formations, fabulous vistas and endless legends of lost gold. Apache Trail Tours range from 2 hours to overnight.
