Part of the regions waterways suffered flooding following a deluge on Sunday evening and night, mainly in the south Leinster area. Elsewhere it wasn't as bad with less severe conditions. Thankfully at time of writing weather is more settled and milder than of late with a hint of spring in the air. It has been another difficult week weather-wise with strong winds and inclement weather at times. Fishing results were mixed due to the conditions. The Waterways Ireland Pike Challenge kicks off next Saturday, we will have a report and results in next weeks update. Weather was very changeable and very wet and windy at times, especially over south Leinster over the weekend. At time of writing weather is more settled with much milder temperatures. Next Sunday Lough Owel anglers host their first trout competition of the season. On the day the Ace Cup is the top prize.
