A winner with Winnipeg's IT clients Winnipeg Free Press Friday September 14, 2007
Clear Concepts is a Winnipeg IT company specializing in corporate networking that has been operating “under the radar” for most of its six year history, according to company President Scott McKenzie.
But it looks like that’s all about to change, thanks to the company’s recent recognition as 2007 Consumers’ Choice Award winner for Best Computer Network Consultants in Winnipeg.

Clear Concepts management includes Mr. McKenzie and co-partners Shane Hartje and Chris Mitchell, who represent 50 years of collective computer experience along with their 11 member technical team. |
In operation since 2001, Clear Concepts has tapped into that all important communication channel — word of mouth.
Mr. McKenzie estimates more than 95 per cent of the company’s business opportunities have been developed that way.
But with Clear Concepts garnering honours as a CCA winner, he says it provides the company with “accreditation that individuals or organizations that have not heard of us will know we are a company they can consider as a reliable source.”
Leveraging technology for business is the company’s slogan. Mr. McKenzie says that since business relies heavily on its networks, it’s critical that it perform 100 per cent of the time.
With businesses linking other processes with suppliers, customers and strategic partners over the web, Clear Concepts provides a comprehensive support service that incorporates full management and monitoring of network services.
“The services themselves are part and parcel to that end goal,” Mr. Hartje says. “We try to provide our clients with the best technology that fits their needs and to support those technologies whether through network management, website design or application development.”
It seems to be a concept that strikes a chord with the company’s growing client list.
“We’ve been working a long time to provide the services that we have at a level that perhaps would be categorized as award-winning,” Mr. Hartje says.
“We certainly didn’t expect to receive an award, but it’s definitely a pat on the back. It makes us feel we’re heading in the right direction in terms of our services A winner with Winnipeg’s IT clients and what we’re doing for our customers,” he adds.
“And we want to continue to provide a level of service that’s definitely won this award for us in the past and to maintain that type of quality for our customers.
” Both Mr. McKenzie and Mr. Hartje extend gratitude to the customers who made this honour possible.
“We would like to thank our customers for voting for us and standing behind what we’ve been providing for them over the years. We look forward to servicing them for a long time to come in the future.”
