Some of the leading technological companies, NGOs and opinion makers belong to FOSI, which works to ensure the industry is self-regulated in a responsible manner and to identify, promote and inform the industry, parents and educators alike about the most innovative tools for achieving a responsible use of new technology. Participants from the online industry, government, the NGO sector, academics and think tanks joined the Family Online Safety Institute for this free, invitation-only launch. The Institute is combining the ICRA family of products and services into a broader and deeper mission incorporating technology, events, public policy and education into this new Institute.

Participants heard of the Institute's vision, range of activities and international outreach in this challenging and, at times, controversial area of concern. There were two concurrent Roundtables in the afternoon, as they delved deeper into the issues of public policy, technology and public education.
