Volunteer Water Quality Monitor Training - RECERTIFICATION

Tuesday, April 1st   6-9 pm or

Thursday, April 3rd   6-9 pm

This is the training for existing volunteers.  If you're a new volunteer please see initial training above.

You only need to attend one of the sessions.  The entire process usually takes approximately two hours.  Please let me know which session you would like to attend—signup online or give me a call at 235-4068 x29.  If neither of these sessions will work for you, let me know and we can find a make-up date which will work.

The CEMP Quality Assurance Program Plan requires that all volunteers be recertified every year as a way of validating our testing methods and data.  For newer volunteers who have not been through a recert before (and for longtime volunteers who have had a particularly rough year) recertification consists of running tests for D.O., conductivity, and pH so that everyone can be checked for correct methods and accuracy.  It’s also a great chance to interact with other volunteer monitors, get your questions answered, or get re-involved with the program if you’ve been on a winter break.

Please bring your kit to the recertification.  It will be checked for completeness, expired chemicals, and non-working equipment.
