As one of Europe's premier tourist destinations, Palma handles a high volume of passengers, with chartered flights from Northern Europe accounting for much of this. There currently 20 million passengers passing through the airport each year, with 24 hour operation, and arrivals around the clock. Palma de Mallorca Airport is situated 11kms southeast of Palma City, and is accessible by both public transport and taxi.

There is one terminal at the airport with four concourses: A, B, C and D. You will find departures located on the top-floor, with almost 200 check-in desks provided. For airline and tour operator desks, refer to the many counters located inside the entrance to the airport, on the ground floor.

A full service bank, 24-hour bureaux de change and several ATMs are available in the terminal. You will also find post boxes, a post office and telephones located across the terminal.

Several bars and restaurants may be found at the airport including a snack bar and a self-service restaurant, which are present in the arrivals hall of the Central Terminal.

Shops on offer include duty-free, a tobacconist, leather goods store, a toy shop, several shoe shops, a jewellers', opticians', florists', sweet shops, gift shops and a clothing accessories outlet. Further facilities at the airport include a 24-hour first aid service, with a pharmacy also on site. There are also numerous travel agents are also located throughout the Arrivals Hall.

Business facilities are provided in the departures lounge. Three VIP lounges are available at the airport (tel: +34 971 789 631), the Randa, l'Ofre and Tomir, located on the Departures floor. Opening hours are from 06:00-23:00.

Lifts and ramps facilitate wheelchair-access across the terminal, whilst accessible toilets are also available and special parking spaces are on hand in the carparks.
