Chinook (King) Salmon are the first Salmon to show up each summer, and the Kenai is home to the world's largest Kings, with fish commonly caught in the 50-70 pound range, and a few even bigger each year. King season runs May~July and our Rental Boats & Guided King Salmon Charters book up early so plan ahead!
Later in the summer and fall, go in pursuit of the mighty acrobatic Coho (Silver) Salmon, as well as plentiful Pink Salmon. The Kenai is also famous for some of the world’s finest Trophy Rainbow Trout and Dolly Varden fishing spring to fall, and don't forget about the North Pacific's largest game fish, the mighty Alaska Halibut found plentifully in the waters surrounding the Kenai Peninsula!
