The Big Fish Story

The special thing about this angler's catch was that it was his 42nd birthday and he was on his very first deep sea sport fishing trip. His name is Joe Harrison from Tennessee and he was in Daytona fishing for a variety of the big game fish of the region. On his first trip Joe catches a few dolphin with the biggest around 30 pounds plus he gets a chance to have a good long fight with a beautiful sailfish before it throws the hook. He watched this sail jump and break the water at least 3 times before it got away. He said and I quote "I have never felt such adrenalin rush". Joe's trip also included a rumble with an amberjack that Joe says was the toughest fish fight he has ever had hooked.

Well Joe takes his first sportfishing trip, on his birthday, and has what I would call a very successful trip with some tough fighting Florida gamefish which makes me want to ask the question - Are you hooked on saltwater sportfishing yet? I would say yes because Joe tells me he has already booked a trip for Hatteras, NC. Congrats Joe on being the FinTalk.com Angler of the Month!
