Salmon/Steelhead Rods

XMG 50
While graphite handles highlight the incredible sensitivity of our XMG 50 steelhead rods, there has been enough uproar from cork traditionalists that offering these outstanding drift rods with cork handles only makes sense. For 2008 the EXC 96M-C and EXC 10M-C are available with premium grade cork grips.

Certified Pro
Completely new to the Certified Pro Series, world's most accomplished line of steelhead and salmon rods, is the addition of the two-piece X 113 M-CP. With the CP designating its "Center Pin" handle configuration, this 11'3", moderate action rod is designed for float fishing in the Canadian style. Its 8- to 15-pound line rating will excel under a wide variety of fishing conditions.

The new X 96 JC-GH is the venerable X 96 JC, a staple rod of steelhead anglers, now available with front and rear graphite grips. Lamiglas graphite handles provided enhanced sensitivity, long wearing durability and long-lasting good looks by eliminating all cork on the rods.

Certified Pro Fiberglass
Angler enthusiasm for Lamiglas premium fiberglass rods continues to grow exponentially. New models for 2008 include the XCF 802, a plug rod that bridges the gap between light steelhead (XCF 801) and fall chinook (XCF 803). More unique to the line is the XCF 906, a powerful one piece 9' sturgeon rod designed for Canada's Frazier River that will be equally at home on the Columbia as well as California's Delta.

G1000
Exceptional demand and rapid expansion of Lamiglas XMG 50 and Certified Pro series rods featuring graphite handles has lead to the expansion of the concept into the G1000 line up. For 2008, four models of G1000 salmon/steelhead rods, including the G 1303-TH, G 1382-TH, G 1310-TH and G 1314-TH, are available with Texalium handles. Texalium, a fabric similar to graphite, offers similar core characteristics, along with the added advantage of stylish colors. The G1000 Texalium handles are a pewter tone, complimenting the classic appearance of G1000 rod blanks perfectly.

Woodland, WA: Lamiglas has introduced the all-new XMG 50 Series Salmon/Steelhead rods. The XMG 50 series breaks the confines of what traditionalists say a rod "should be," and delivers what a rod "can be."

LAMIGLAS SUPER SURF SERIES. DESIGNED FOR BRAID. BUILT FOR POWER.

Woodland, WA: Over the last decade, surf fishing has changed immensely. Most prominently, the big fish are back, and as a result braided super lines have gone from interesting novelty to high-strength necessity. Lamiglas Super Surf rods are the first to embrace braided lines with designs constructed specifically to answer the rigorous demands they make upon equipment.

Lamiglas Super Surf rod blanks are the heart and soul of the series performance. Constructed of a proprietary blend of intermediate and high modulus graphite, the blanks deliver ultra-lightweight handling and exceptional responsiveness. Where they excel, however, is their resistance to "ovaling," or flattening of the blank's round cross section, when under shock or extreme pressure. In standard rod designs, "ovaling" is a leading cause of failure due to the strength being compromised by the blank being taken out of the round. Nylon monofilament lines, with much inherent stretch, rarely allow anglers to put enough force on a rod to cause ovaling. Braided super lines, however, have very little stretch and incredibly high-strength, placing the brunt of the force directly on the rod blanks. Driven to limits, standard rods begin to oval, and can fail if taken to the extreme. Most high strength rod blanks today have incorporated fiberglass to increase compatibility with braided lines, which trades sensitivity and weight for durability. Lamiglas Super Surf rods accomplish the resistance to ovaling while maintaining all the characteristics that make graphite rods such exceptional performers.

The Super Surf series consists of seven spinning models from 9- to 11-feet in length, featuring Fuji's surf line of Alconite Concept guides, Fuji reel seats and cork tape grips. With a custom touch fitting of the highest quality production surf rods made, the guides are both underwrapped and overwrapped for secure strength under heavy loads. Each rod is constructed with a moderate-fast action for smooth casting at extreme distance.

LAMIGLAS PARTNERS WITH DON IOVINO TO INTRODUCE SIGNATURE 3+ RODS FOR SUPERIOR FINNESSE FISHING PERFORMANCE.

Woodland, WA: Don Iovino has a cherished history in bass fishing as an innovator of both tackle and technique and a member of the Freshwater Fishing Hall of Fame.
