2. How do I transfer my domain name to Netfirms?

There are two steps to transferring your name:

Step One - DNS Transfer
Click the link shown above. You'll then enter your existing domain name into the search box. When you're finished signing up you'll receive a Welcome Letter with full instructions on finishing the DNS Transfer. This will include pointing your existing domain to your Netfirms website. A DNS Transfer keeps the billing and management of your domain name with your current registrar and "points" the name to your Netfirms website.

Step Two (Optional) - Registrar Transfer
Once you've signed up and completed the DNS Transfer, you can easily perform a Registrar Transfer through the Netfirms Control Panel. Your billing and domain management will move to Netfirms, and you'll save money with Netfirms everyday low prices. If your domain is included with your hosting plan it will stay free as long as you renew the plan.

3. Is there any fee for transferring Registrars?
No, the transfer process to Netfirms is free. You will however have to pay to renew your domain as soon as you initiate your registrar transfer.

4. Is there anything else I need to know about switching registrars?
Supported extensions are .com / .net. You must be the owner of the Domain Name, or have permission to switch registrars. Also, the domain name must be UNLOCKED. Talk to your current registrar in order to have your Domain Name unlocked if you'd like to switch to Netfirms.
