2008 Transportation and Financial Plan Keeps Pace and Looks Forward
TransLink’s financial house is in good order today. We can afford to build for the future if we continue to pay for what we use now. The cost of more service and better roads will be shared by all users. In 2008 this region will see the largest bus expansion in 31 years, with the addition of 94 new buses and 160 replacement buses. Plans include $55 million in new road projects, $6 million in new cycling paths, building a third SeaBus, upgrading three major SkyTrain stations and expanding rideshare programs.
