    Iran is the cradle of culture, art, poetry, and poesy.  There are the most beautiful and magnificent handicrafts and artistic works in different parts of this country.  Some of the most important and well-known masterpieces of Iranian artists are such as: colorful Carpets, Gelims, and Gabba, tile working, inlaid works, mirror woks, silver works, copper smithereens, calligraphy, miniature, painting,  and so many others.

Weaving cloth is a beautiful and delicate art, the pinnacle being brocaded silk. In the course of history, one of the valued and precious gifts presented to foreign rulers by their Iranian counterparts has been the brocaded silk . Iranians, according to historical evidence were the main contributors to the process of weaving cloth.
 

Carpets and Gelims: Carpets and Gelims, too, have played a great role in the perfection of weaving. They are also the ancient crafts which is said to date back to 500 BC. The colors and designs of Iranian carpets are so lively and cheerful. They make you think you have brought outdoors indoors. Gelim which is made of cotton or wool is a kind of Carpet. Other handicrafts have a different story in themselves and each one shows the art, feelings, and soul of its maker.
