Operations Coordinator
Location: Honolulu, HI
General Summary: The Operations Coordinator is the main POC (Point of Contact) for field operations and is responsible for inventory and procurement for the 24 x 7 NOC (Network Operations Center), general administrative responsibilities for field operations, and communication with Provisioning. Ability to work overtime and cover various shifts for the needs of the team is required. Position reports directly to the Operations Manager.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Must have well developed organizational skills and be detail oriented where it concerns the scheduling and gathering of information necessary for the day to day operations of the business. Primary responsibility is the handling of all stock and needed equipment for the NOC and field operations. It also includes ordering, purchasing, receiving, bar coding and controlling stock levels based on sales projections and the predetermined EOQ (Economic order quantities). Close attention to details, timelines and RMA (Return Material Authorization) procedures with various vendors and suppliers will be a vital part of this position. Work closely with ASCs (Account Service Coordinators) and circuit designers to improve communication and assure that the necessary information is gathered for NOC, switch, and field technicians.
Administrative Responsibilities: Form management, filing, electronic calendar, and inventory databases. Coordinate travel and equipment shipping. Assist Operations Manager with other administrative & clerical duties as deemed necessary for the needs of the business.
Provide remote hands, customer escort, coordination, and communications services for our collocation products. This will include such tasks as resetting CPE (Customer Premise Equipment), changing of internal PC hardware, or any task that requires remote assistance for our collocation customers. Duties include misc tasks as assigned by Operations Manager.
Supervisory Responsibility: None required
Minimum Qualifications: 2-4 years of administrative experience in bookkeeping, shipping, receiving, scheduling, and/ or dispatch work. 2-3 years of Telecom equipment experience. High School Diploma or equivalent. Great written and oral communication skills. Multi-tasking required. Must be able to handle multiple projects at one time. Proficient in Microsoft Office product suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.)
Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of administrative experience in bookkeeping, shipping, receiving, scheduling, and/or dispatch work. 4+ years of Telecom equipment experience. 2+ years of IT experience. College education or specific advanced technical training. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Advanced level in Microsoft Office product suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.) Microsoft Access and MS Project experience highly desired.
