Car Hire Kerry Airport - Mini guide to Kerry Airport
Kerry International Airport is situated in the heart of the Irish southwest, 15 minutes from Killarney and the Ring of Kerry, and 20 minutes from Tralee. It is a small airport, serving approximately 200,000 passengers a year.
Kerry Airport has only one terminal, which deals with both incoming and outgoing flights. The terminal has five check-in desks, two gates and one baggage claim belt. Airlines servicing the airport are Aer Arann and Ryanair. There are four flights each weekday between Kerry Airport and Dublin (three flights at the weekends) and one flight to and from London Stansted everyday with Ryanair.
Passenger facilities include an ATM, a bureau de change which is located at the information desk, and an auto exchange machine. Additionally, there is a post office, a first aid department, a baby-changing room, and disabled access and facilities.
The gift shop is situated in the department lounge, and there is also a duty-free shop and a newsagent/tobacconist. The airport has a fully licensed bar and restaurant offering light meals and snacks.
Kerry Airport is situated one kilometre northeast of Farranfore, 19kms southeast of Tralee and 16kms north of Killarney. It is well connected to the south and west of Ireland via the N23 national road. There are no direct bus or rail services from the airport, but taxis are available at the taxi rank outside the airport building. There are 400 long-term and 400 short-term parking spaces available. The first hour of parking is free; thereafter an hourly rate is charged.
