Gatman Services uses Joomla Content Management System (CMS) and components and customized modules to achieve results for sports-oriented business.

Objectives: Develop a cost-effective and small-staff managed web site platform site, capable of daily pod-casting (approx 3 hours of new feeds per day)  fee-based membership, multi-user content management, and capable of handling a live-audio feed 24/7.

There were a number of unique challenges to this project.  Foremost was the ability to handle podcasting and live audio streaming without a "team" of engineers.

Given the anticipated bandwidth need and projected visitor traffic, we felt that our Managed Private Server (MPS) was the approriate platform to build upon.  We then went about a build of audio tools and libraries on the server that could handle the audio feeds generated from the customer's office studios.  To maintain univeral playbility, we had the output go through a Flash player.  (Instead of requiring a Windows media player, winamp, or other player).

Using other components and modules of Joomla, we were further able to customize a solution to fee-based podcasting solution.  Many thanks to Paul Kruger at Speed-U-Need for his programming skills in coming up with a viable solution to the iTunes subscription security measures.
