Mustad's Flasher rigs turn routine bottom-bouncing into something special. The flasher material enhances the appeal of the bait as the angler jigs the rig up and down. Although these rigs can catch fish without bait, they are actually enhanced natural bait fishing systems and work best when used with natural bait.

Mustad has made its three Flasher rig models as user-friendly as possible. New purpose-built, re-usable packaging incorporates a foam winder for easy storage of rigs after use. The rigs are designed with trace and dropper lengths that make fishing easy.

The BIG RED FLASHER RIG, a versatile 3-hook rig equipped with 3 x Mustad Big Red Ultra Point hooks dressed with fluoro pink flash in a range of sizes from 1/0 /15kg up to 6/0 / 30kg. It can target everything from snapper, trevally and flathead up to hard-pulling tropical reef species.

The LONG RED FLASHER RIG is similar to the Big Red, but features the Mustad Long Red 92661NPNR hook -- a special Ultra Point long shank heavy beak hook, allowing more bait to be put on the hook. This rig originated in New Zealand and is suited to medium-heavy fishing for snapper and reef fish.

The DEMON TERAKIHI FLASHER RIG uses Mustad's Demon Fine Gauge Circle hook. This rig was developed for the NZ terakahi (morwong) and suits the many light-medium weight fish such as trevally, morwong, snapper, flathead.
