Antigua has a beach for each day of the week. All are open to the public. Some popular beaches are: Dickenson Bay and Runaway Bay located on the Northwest Coast where a lot of the resorts lined. For the less developed and quieter beaches, The South and Southwest Coast are ideal. Here you will find beaches like Fryes Bay, Darkwood Beach, and the beaches around Johnson Point. The East Coast is ideal for families. On the southeast you will find beaches like Half Moon Bay, which is now a National Park.
A great way to explore the Antigua is to take one of the many tours offered on the Island like: Off Road Jeep Safaris, Eco-Adventure, and Historical Tours. Shirley Heights offers breathtaking views over the English Harbour.
Antigua offers a variety of nightlife activities. From romantic restaurants, lively bars and steel bands playing to gambling at some of the poplar casinos like the Grand Princess or St. James Club, Antigua is a destination that offers something for everyone.
Carnival is one of the most popular festivals in Antigua. The carnival is normally held towards the end of July and runs into August, it is a 10-day festival with colorful costumes, talent shows, Antiguan music and much more.
