KPECE Journey to the Heart Workshop
2007 "Journey to the Heart of the Kenai" KPECE Teacher Workshop

What is KPECE?

The Kenai Peninsula Ecological and Cultural Educators (KPECE) is a new group of more than 20 agencies and organizations that offer ecological and cultural education programs for K-12 students and adults. KPECE goals include coordinating and promoting education programs. KPECE is coordinated by the Kenai Watershed Forum.

KPECE helps provide students with a variety of in class and field-based ecological and cultural programs and teachers with standards-based curricula and professional development opportunities.

This website was created for teachers as an information source for Kenai Peninsula-wide field trips, classroom speakers, educational kits, curricula, resources and workshops available from KPECE’s agency and organization members. Through education, we can work together to raise awareness and increase stewardship of ecological and cultural resources on the Kenai Peninsula.
