Seattle Washington is a large, vibrant city in the Pacific Northwest. It features many interesting tourist attractions and some well-known landmarks such as the Space Needle. Many of Seattle's attractions are located near Seattle Center, the site of the 1962 World's Fair. Seattle Center is connected to the business district by a monorail system.
	Popular activities in Seattle include golfing, sailing, boating and sports. Many conferences and festivals are held in the city. Bumbershoot is a popular event held each Labor Day. Seattle Washington is the departure point for many cruises bound for Alaska. A ferry system connects Seattle to neighbouring communities on Puget Sound and to Victoria BC (Canada).
Direct flights to the Seatac Airport (Seattle-Tacoma International Airport) are available from many US, Canadian and international cities. Plenty of great hotel accommodation can be found in downtown Seattle and near the Seatac Airport. Lodging is also available in Redmond, Renton, Tacoma and in other nearby communities.
