CARDOZO CONGRATULATES JUDGE JOSEPH A. GREENAWAY
Judge Joseph A. Greenaway was confirmed by the U.S. Senate on Tuesday, February 9, after being nominated by President Obama to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. An adjunct professor at Cardozo who currently serves as a judge on the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, Judge Greenaway is only the 15th judge confirmed since the beginning of this Congress. ATTENTION CARDOZO COMMUNITY: SCHOOL IS OPEN
The Law School and its administrative offices will be open Thursday, February 11, and classes will be held as usual although individual professors may cancel classes if they are unable to make it to school.  Students should check their email tomorrow morning to see if any of their professors have canceled classes.
COMMUNITY EFFORTS RAISE FUNDS AND SUPPLIES FOR HAITI
Cardozo Students for Haitian Relief Efforts raised nearly $1000 at a bar night Thursday, February 4. The money will be donated to Doctors Without Borders’ relief work in Haiti. A drive to match the student efforts is now open to staff, faculty and administration. To contribute to this matching fund, please bring your donation to the Office of Career Services this week during business hours. The food and supplies donated and collected by members of the Cardozo community is being delivered to the Haitian Consulate in New York.
